About

Dr. Yaprak Melike Uyar

Scholar, writer, and healing practitioner.

Yaprak Melike Uyar is a scholar, writer, and healing practitioner whose work moves between academic research, esoteric traditions, and spiritual practice. For years, she has studied and practiced systems rooted in Gurdjieff's work, Sufism, and shamanic healing traditions, with a particular interest in how cross-cultural spiritual knowledge can be translated into a clear and practical language for contemporary life.

She holds a PhD in Musicology and teaches “Music and Religion” at one of Europe's leading universities. Her academic work and spiritual practice are not separate worlds; both are grounded in the same curiosity about consciousness, transformation, ritual, and the ways human beings make meaning.

In her healing practice, she comes from a lineage of Balkan shamanic tradition and combines shamanic healing with Reiki. She was initiated by a Siberian shaman in 2016 and, for years, worked quietly through word of mouth.

Now, she is bringing this work into a wider space.
